T-Shirt Day & Independent Venue Week 2026

T-Shirt Day & Independent Venue Week 2026

Independent Venue Week’s Venue T-Shirt Day ran parallel to 6 Music’s T-Shirt Day on 18 September and of course we had to get involved! Our music-loving team proudly wore their favourite band T-shirts to work, celebrating some of the incredible artists who inspire us.

Live music is a huge part of Pocklington Arts Centre and while we don’t currently have our own venue T-shirts, we do have some beautiful commemorative prints, created to celebrate our 25th anniversary. Featuring some of the incredible acts who’ve performed on our stage, they’re the perfect way to remember your favourite gigs and support the venue.

We’re incredibly proud of everything we have achieved and the loyal community who keep coming back to share unforgettable evenings with us, and that’s why we’re thrilled to once again be an official venue for Independent Venue Week (IVW).

Running from 26 January to 1 February 2026, IVW is a week-long celebration of independent music and arts venues, and the people who own, run, and work in them.

It shines a spotlight on venues like ours - places that prioritise purpose over profit and programme on behalf of the community they serve, whilst also creating space for opportunity and inclusivity. It’s also a reminder of how vital these venues are to both the music industry and local culture, championing authenticity and nurturing talent.

Last year we enjoyed an incredible performance from Hull’s own proudly independent four-piece, LIFE, as well as intricate melodies and evocative lyrics from The Silver Reserve, and incredible harmonies from indie/folk favourites The Cactus Blossoms.

It was fantastic to be involved and we can’t wait to do it all over again, but you’ll have to wait a little bit longer to find out what we have lined up. We’re determined to make IVW26 bigger and better than ever so make sure you’re signed up to our newsletter to be first in the know when tickets go on sale.

If you would like to buy one of our 25th anniversary prints, you can get one here or from our box office for £12. Every purchase helps keep the venue going so we can keep bringing unmissable live performances to Pocklington.
