Pocklington Arts Centre is excited to announce an incredibly talented cast for their 2024 Christmas Production, Jack Frost’s Christmas Wish.
Following the success of their first in-house production last year, the Arts Centre has once again worked with playwright Elizabeth Godber and director Jane Thornton to develop a festive show filled with magical adventures and feel-good tunes.
This year’s enchanting production centres around Jack Frost and his lovable friends Oslo the Rabbit and Blue the Winter Sprite as they race across the world to make Jack’s one wish come true – to be home for Christmas!
UCLan graduate Levi Payne stars in the titular role, Jack Frost, bringing his natural charm and wit to a well-known character. Levi, who was a member of the regional young actors ensemble with Hull Truck Theatre, has extensive theatre credits to his name and has also appeared in numerous film and TV productions including Brassic, Coronation Street, and Bank of Dave 2.
Dylan Allcock, who played popular character Daredevil Dave in last year’s The Elves & the Shoemaker save Christmas, returns to Pocklington to take on the role of Oslo the Rabbit. His comedic timing and talent on stage perfectly demonstrating why he is not only a notable and longstanding contributor to the world’s longest running comedy sketch show, NewsRevue, but also a nominee for Best New Actor at the Cannes Indie Shorts Awards.
Talented vocalist and actress Caitlin Townend completes the cast as Blue, the lovable winter sprite. Caitlin is an alumni member of The Godber Theatre Foundation, which is comprised of Hull and East Yorkshire Actors and Creatives hand-picked by the renowned playwright John Godber and the team of The John Godber Company.
Writer Elizabeth Godber said: “I am so delighted to be back working at Pocklington Arts Centre this Christmas, this time with my brand new show, Jack Frost’s Christmas Wish. Last year’s show was so special for everyone involved, and I really hope this year’s show, full of fun, laughs, local references, original music and Christmas magic, is just as special and joyous over the festive period!”
Jack Frost’s Christmas Wish will run from Thursday 12 December to Tuesday 24 December, with a relaxed performance on Sunday 10th December at 10.30am for families who require a more relaxed environment when going to the theatre.
Tickets are priced at £14 for adults, £10 for under 25s, and £39 for a family of four.
