‘Twas the night before Christmas and across East Yorkshire land
Excited children count sheep as three cheeky elves lend a hand
Yes, Jingle, Sparkle and Daredevil Dave have gingerbread to cook, peas to find and shoes to make…
But who gives the Elves their Christmas? Surely they too deserve a break?
Pocklington Arts Centre is excited to announce our Christmas production debut with this original adaptation of The Elves and the Shoemaker save Christmas written by Elizabeth Godber and Directed by Jane Thornton.
We are celebrating local talent with early career creatives and emerging artists to devise a local, family friendly show suitable for all ages.

Interval: 20 minutes
Act two: 8.25pm – 9.00pm
*We will be offering a relaxed performance on Sunday 10th December at 10.30am for families who require a more relaxed environment when going to the theatre. This will include house lights (rather than dark), a relaxed attitude to involuntary sounds and moving around the auditorium during the performance and a quiet break out space available. This performance will run straight through at 70 mins with no interval and guests are welcome to take their seats 5 minutes before curtain up. We have reserved a selection of seats towards the rear of the auditorium with social distancing to support those who may prefer some spaces between parties. There are 4 x blocks of 4 seats and one block of 2 seats available to pre-book. Please call our Box Office on 01759 301547 to request these seats (not bookable through our website).
