LIFE are an alternative band from Hull. The creative 4-piece are proudly independent with a strong DIY ethic built around community. LIFE have released 3 albums on their own DIY label: Afghan Moon. 2017’s Popular Music (BBC Radio 1’s Albums of the Year shortlist), 2019’s A Picture of Good Health (BBC 6Music Albums of the Year shortlist & AIM Award nominated ‘Best Second Album) and 2022’s critically-acclaimed North East Coastal Town.

The band have amassed a strong fanbase across the UK and Europe via their loyal LIFERS DIY group as well as garnering a reputation for putting on an energetic yet intimate live show. LIFE have played major UK festivals including Glastonbury, Latitude, Reading & Leeds Festival as well as having success in Europe at festivals including Printemps de Bourges & Les Suits Secretes (FR), Paleo Festival (CH), Rock For the People (CZ), Pukkelpop (BE), Best Kept Secret & Left of the Dial (NL), Pohoda Festival (SK), showcasing at SXSW (US) twice, Reeperbahn and Nouvelle Prague. LIFE have also toured with friends IDLES & Nadine Shah as well as appearing on TV features with groups such as Primal Scream & Jehnny Beth.
