Landscape Painting Challenge

Fri 20 Jun 10.00am | £40

Join East Riding Artist and broadcaster Phil White as part of our specially commissioned exhibition to celebrate the splendour of the Designated National Collection of WATERLILIES at Burnby Hall Gardens. The collection features over 100 varieties of Hardy Waterlily and was described as being housed in the best natural setting in Europe by a visiting symposium in 1993. In short – this is a rare opportunity to paint in a stunning location!

Pocklington Arts Centre and Burnby Hall Gardens & Museum Trust are delighted to collaborate on this joint fundraising initiative which will celebrate both the Gardens and the creativity of local artists as they capture the beauty of these stunning blooms in season.

Artists are invited to participate in a ‘landscape painting challenge’ led by Phil White on Friday 20th June* – 10am – 3pm.

Artists to provide all materials and their choice of medium. NB Photographers are also welcome to participate.

*In recognition of the whims of a British summertime, we have arranged a back-up date – Friday 27th June.

Admission to this unique event £40 per artist

Selected pieces from the day to be featured in a month-long Exhibition alongside professional artists at Pocklington Arts Centre Studio/Gallery during July with the option to sell completed artwork on a commission basis.

The exhibition will be FREE and readily accessible for visitors to Pocklington to enjoy throughout the month.
