Tue 29 Oct – Fri 22 Nov
Heather Burton’s work is inspired by the dramatic coastlines and countryside of Scotland, Yorkshire and Northern England – taking less-travelled roads in all conditions to study the impact the weather has on the moods and atmosphere of our extraordinary landscapes, which inspire much of her work.
“I really enjoy the freedom and exhilaration of working with knives and I’m always discovering new techniques and finishes” says Heather. “I mainly use acrylics so I can layer and manipulate them to create depth and texture to the work.”
Please note our exhibition space is closed Tuesday 2pm-3pm, Wednesday 10am-3pm and 4.30pm-8.30pm, and Thursday 10.30am-12pm.
