Bold portraits of iconic people, created by over 100 voices
Famous Faces is a powerful, large-scale portrait project from Artistic Spectrum, co-created with over 100 neurodivergent and SEN children and adults across East and South Yorkshire.
Developed in group workshops over several weeks, participants chose and created striking portraits of famous people who inspire them – from musicians and sports stars to activists and screen icons. Using collage, found materials, and personal objects, each artwork is rich with texture, colour, and personal meaning.
The exhibition has toured nationally – celebrating not just the icons depicted, but the creativity, collaboration, and talent of the artists involved.
Famous Faces challenges perceptions, champions inclusivity, and puts the power of representation into the hands of those too often left out of the frame.
Please note: the studio is closed to the public 2.00pm-3.00pm Tuesday and all day Wednesday.
