Michael Messer will be teaching slide guitar and open tuned guitar.

Michael Messer’s reputation as a virtuoso slide guitarist, singer and blues innovator, are well known. Throughout his forty year career, Michael’s music has remained individual and contemporary. His stunning slide guitar playing and superb vocals ooze authenticity and integrity, and his use of turntables in the Second Mind Band marked him as one of the trailblazers of the 21st century blues sound. Johnny Cash wrote the liner notes for Michael’s 1993 album “Rhythm Oil”. Michael’s “King Guitar” album reached number one in the US Living Blues chart and “Second Mind” won Best Guitar Album of the Year. His current band, Michael Messer’s Mitra, is once again breaking new ground playing an exhilarating fusion of rural blues & Indian classical music. Their highly acclaimed album, “Call of the Blues” was iTunes #1 blues album and World Music Network #1 album. To date, Michael Messer has released ten albums, toured worldwide, recorded numerous live radio/TV sessions and appeared in his own ‘Blues’ episode of BBC TV show, Zingzillas. He also has a successful line of MM Guitars

In addition and by request, Robbie and Michael will hold a class together on the subjects of performance and live sound.
