Pocklington Arts Centre is Creating a Storm!

Pocklington Arts Centre has launched an exciting, collaborative art project for 2024, inviting everyone to unleash their creativity by making snowflakes for a magnificent community artwork.

The final, festive display will be revealed in December, perfectly timed with their heartwarming Christmas production, 'Jack Frost’s Christmas Wish'.

Those who love to craft, be it knitting, crochet, sewing, paper craft or anything else, are encouraged to join in to showcase the artistic flare of the community.

With a commitment to sustainability, volunteers are encouraged to use upcycled materials where possible to minimise their environmental impact whilst expressing their creativity.

The goal is to bring together as many individuals and craft, community, and faith groups as possible, fostering a sense of unity and creativity. Participants of every age and skill level are encouraged to take part and contribute to a beautiful, collaborative project that will fill the Arts Centre and wider community with festive cheer.

Those who would prefer to take part in an organised workshop can do so at the Arts Centre from 10.30-11.30am on 23 and 26 November (relaxed session). The Snowflake Storm workshops will be led by artist Kate Noble, with no booking required.

Everyone is welcome to take part in creating something truly magical for Christmas 2024 and snowflake donations will be accepted from individuals and groups alike until 23rd November.
