Meet the Cast of The Highwayman

EMILIO ENCINOSO-GIL - Emilio Encinoso-Gil is a part Spanish actor, born in Hull. He trained at The Academy Of Live and Recorded Arts (ALRA North) and has been nominated for two Broadway World UK awards for Best Leading performer in ‘The Highwayman’ and Best Supporting performer in ‘Do I Love You?’.

DYLAN ALLCOCK - Dylan Allcock is an Actor, Theatre Maker and Composer from Accrington, Lancashire. He trained at East 15 Acting School, and is a frequent collaborator with the John Godber Company, with recent projects including Black Tie Ball (UK Tour), The Highwayman (York Theatre Royal), The Remarkable Tale of Dorothy Mackaill (East Riding Theatre) and Mike and Millie Go to the Seaside (SJT). 

MATHEEA ELLERBY - Matheea Ellerby is an actor from Hull, East Yorkshire. She trained at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, graduating in 2023.  Since starting at drama school, Matheea became a proud member of the Godber Theatre Foundation, and has since worked with the John Godber Company on A Christmas Carol at the Vinyard, and two UK tours of The Highwayman, for which of course she has returned again to reprise her role for the Autumn tour this year!

JOHN GODBER - John Godber was born in Upton, a mining village in West Yorkshire. Educated at Bretton Hall College and Leeds University, he has become well known as a playwright, having won BAFTA's, Olivier Awards, Los Angeles Drama Critics Awards, Edinburgh Fringe Firsts, and the Yorkshire Arts Personality of the Year Award. He has written for theatre, film and TV and was awarded an OBE for his services to the arts in 2018. He lives near the Humber Bridge.
