Crafters from the community have worked hard to creative a beautiful festive storm of snowflakes that can now be seen adorning the walls of Pocklington Arts Centre.
Using recycled materials as much as possible, local artists, crafters, and community groups have come together to produce an array of handcrafted snowflakes, showcasing techniques like knitting, crochet, and papercraft.
This festive installation has been unveiled to coincide with the Arts Centre’s 2024 Christmas production, Jack Frost’s Christmas Wish, written by Elizabeth Godber and directed by Jane Thornton, running until December 24.
Coordinated by community artist Kate Noble, the installation not only brings a sense of festive cheer to all that see it, but also showcases the wealth of talent in the local community.
Contributors of all ages have poured their time and creativity into this heartwarming project and we encourage everyone to drop by and admire their work before the Arts Centre closes on Christmas Eve.
